Essential Job Duties  Benefits  Supplemental Questions
 

    Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of his or her own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive
    Develop and maintain an accurate and current Pavement Center-line database with the location and associate attributes. Also maintain key fields for connecting to Public Work’s tabular street database.
    Develop and maintain accurate and current Land Records System with the location, geometry, and associated attributes of all parcels, right- of- ways, and easements within the city and planning area.
    Develop and maintain internet map and download system to facilitate GIS information on the Internet.
    Develop and maintain an accurate and current Address Location System.
    Develop and maintain accurate and current Water, Sewer, & Storm Water Utility datasets.
    Acquire/convert/create special use data sets as needed.
    Map Composition: compose all forms of mapping, special use maps, thematic maps, decision support maps.
    Update data for E911 Dispatch, ensuring all data is correct.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

 Secondary Job Duties:

    Research records within the City and County governments.
    Maintain street name and address ranges for A T & T E911 system.
    Perform operation of GPS equipment in the field to collect water system, sewer-system, and storm water structures.
    Secondary duties as assigned.

 Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four year college or university and two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
    Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
    Requires successfully passing a pre-employment criminal background check.
    Must have a significant knowledge of GIS and ESRI software and related programs.
    Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and other related software programs. Must be able to effectively operate standard office equipment.
    While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required communicate with others, stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities to accomplish computer and office work.
    While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
